IR lamps use electromagnetic radiation—basically, photons that dive into the surface and make the molecules vibrate. That creates heat from the inside out.&#xA;Because you aren&amp;rsquo;t wasting energy heating the factory floor, the ramp-up is incredibly fast. But here is the real win: it stops that annoying &amp;ldquo;skinning&amp;rdquo; effect. You know when the surface dries too quickly, traps the solvents underneath, and ruins the finish? IR prevents that. By tweaking the wavelength, we make sure the VOCs actually get out and evaporate before the film closes up.&#xA;&lt;strong&gt;The &amp;ldquo;Green&amp;rdquo; side of things&lt;/strong&gt;&#xA;If you&amp;rsquo;re chasing those &amp;ldquo;Green Factory&amp;rdquo; certifications, switching to certified IR lamps is a shortcut. You can ditch the gas-fired ovens that pump carbon into the sky. We&amp;rsquo;ve seen the carbon footprint per square meter drop significantly. It just feels better knowing the shop isn&amp;rsquo;t a smog machine.&#xA;But look, I&amp;rsquo;ll be honest: IR isn&amp;rsquo;t some &amp;ldquo;magic button&amp;rdquo; you just press. It takes some finesse. These lamps create intense heat zones. If your conveyor is moving too slow, you&amp;rsquo;re going to scorch your wood. You have to get your line speed and lamp spacing exactly right to avoid those burnt hot spots.&#xA;&lt;strong&gt;The trade-offs&lt;/strong&gt;&#xA;The biggest perk is the space. You can take a clunky 30-meter convection oven and swap it for a 5-meter IR tunnel. That&amp;rsquo;s a lot of floor space you get back for other things.&#xA;The catch? Your electrical panel needs to be ready for it. The initial power draw is higher when those lamps kick in, so you&amp;rsquo;ve got to make sure your infrastructure can handle the peak current.&#xA;Once you&amp;rsquo;ve got the power balanced, though, the monthly bills usually drop.
